SORSOGON, Philippines – A 23-year-old student from Solis Institute of Technology died from an alleged hazing incident, police said Monday (February 17).
The victim has been identified as Omer Despabiladeras, a freshman criminology student.
According to Police MSgt. Edgar Calupit who is investigating the case, the victim passed out during the initiation rites.
He was rushed to Pantaleon Gotladera Memorial Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
The Bulan Municipal Police Station is still investigating to determine those responsible for Despabiladeras ’ death. – MNP (with reports from Allan Manansala)
