TROPICAL Storm Dante made another landfall in the vicinity of Cataingan, Masbate around 1 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021, placing 11 areas under storm Signal No. 2, the weather bureau said.
Tropical Storm Dante made its initial landfall in the vicinity of Sulat, Eastern Samar Tuesday night.
Typhoon Dante is also forecast to bring heavy rainfall in Northern and Central Cebu including Bantayan islands as storm Signal No. 1 is still hoisted in these areas.
As of 4 a.m., the typhoon is now off the southwestern coast of Masbate and is heading towards the vicinity of Romblon with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/hour near the center, gustiness of 90 km/hour, and a central pressure of 1000 hPa.
Gale-force winds extend outward up to 50 km from the center.

PAGASA forecasts a moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Romblon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan, Antique, Guimaras, Negros Occidental, northern Negros Oriental, northern and central Cebu including Bantayan Islands.
Moderate to heavy rains over CALABARZON, Occidental Mindoro, Masbate, northern Palawan including Calamian and Cuyo Islands, and the rest of Negros Oriental and Cebu.
While light to moderate with at times heavy rains are also likely over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Pangasinan, Benguet, and the rest of MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Visayas.
Pagasa warned that under these conditions and considering antecedent rainfall, scattered to widespread flooding (including flash floods) and rain-induced landslides are expected, especially in areas with high or very high susceptibility to these hazards as identified in hazard maps.
Strong winds to gale-force winds are possible over the areas where storm Signal No. 2 is hoisted.
Strong winds (strong breeze to near gale) which may cause generally very light damage to structures and vegetation may be experienced in areas where storm Signal No. is in effect.
According to Pagasa, Tropical Storm Dante will continue moving generally west-northwestward and pass near or in the vicinity of Romblon and Marinduque in the next 12 hours before turning northwestward to north-northwestward towards the southern Quezon-Batangas area, where it will make another landfall Wednesday afternoon or evening.
