The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced yesterday that its Authentication Division, currently located at the DFA main building in Pasay City, will be relocating to the Office of Consular Affairs (OCA) Building along Macapagal Avenue, Parañaque City next week.

In its public advisory, the Department said the transfer of its authentication services will take place next Tuesday, November 13.

"In connection with the transfer of the Authentication Division to its new location, the public is advised that: 1) Processing of documents would be temporarily unavailable for the whole day of 12 November 2012; 2) Expedited documents processed on 09 November 2012 and regular documents processed on 06 November 2012 shall be released on the afternoon of 12 November 2012 at OCA building in Macapagal Avenue; and 3) Normal operations of the Authentication Division at its new location will resume on Tuesday,13 November 2012," it said.

Meanwhile, applicants for authentication services were advised to proceed to Gate 2 of the OCA building in Macapagal Avenue where the Authentication Division will commence its operations on Tuesday.

According to the DFA, the transfer of the Authentication Division to the DFA-OCA building is being done to centralize the consular functions of the Department for the convenience of the public who wish to avail of authentication and passport services simultaneously.

"Applicants who still wish to have their documents authenticated are advised to proceed to the Authentication Section of the DFA's satellite offices in Metro Manila, namely, DFA NCR East (SM Megamall) and DFA NCR West (SM City, Manila)," the DFA said.
