‘Disney On Ice’ Producer Amazed By Pinoy Christmas Spirit

MANILA, Philippines - For almost two decades now, "Disney On Ice (DOI)" has provided holiday cheer for all Disney fans all over the world and entertained children of all ages and adults alike.

In the Philippines, the annual "ice-spectacular" that highlights the well-loved Disney characters, has become a tradition of sorts, with every year's show getting better and more unique.

Producer Feld Entertainment, for one, has a special reason they keep coming back to the country to celebrate the Christmas season with Pinoys.

"Filipinos are the loudest and the most amazing crowd we have ever seen. It's your attitude of being accepting and warm that keep us coming back here year after year," says Blake Tatroe, Feld Entertainment's Senior Marketing Officer for Southeast Asia, during the show's press conference held Dec. 19 at the Gateway Suites in Araneta Center, Cubao, QC.

Because "seeing is believing in the world of Disney," as Tatroe puts it, this year's DOI presents "Princesses and Heroes." Eight Disney princesses - Ariel, Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, Aurora, Rapunzel, Tiana - will have their wishes come true with the help of their respective handsome princes, their Heroes.

Tatroe says "Princesses and Heroes" boasts of a brilliant production that showcases "700 different costume pieces, three and a ½ meter tall fire breathing dragon and Aladdin flying 30 feet across the ice, and other more surprises." Furthermore, audiences are assured that all spectacular number will be performed by top notch skaters and acrobats.

Catch "Princesses and Heroes" at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum from Dec. 25 to Jan. 3, 2013. For ticket purchases, simply log on to TicketNet Online, www.ticketnet.com.ph or call Ticketnet at 911-5555.
