Dubbed as the “center of the center” of the world’s marine biodiversity, the Philippines has become one of the global premier diving destinations.
Beneath the crystal clear waters surrounding its 7,641 islands is an exceptional underwater paradise that only a few get the opportunity to see and experience — and this is where The Dive jumps in.
The Dive travel series made its first splash on television in 2017, taking viewers to the country’s different world-class dive sites.
In its newest season this year, The Dive will bring viewers to more exciting underwater adventures through the following segments:
DIVE TRIP – Features the destinations where dives sites are located with a quick guide on how to get there.
GEAR UP TIME – Discusses proper scuba diving skills, safe diving habits, with latest underwater technology and gadget.
DIVE GUIDE – Showcases the breathtaking seascapes of dive sites with essential information such as scuba diving certification level required, maximum depth, water condition, and diving activities.
WONDERS OF CREATIONS –Showcases the marvelous marine creatures with its unique behavior and characteristics for an in-depth appreciation of the ocean life.
I PROTECT OCEAN – Promoting and fortifying marine conservation and protection efforts of different advocates from government agencies, non-government organizations, and individuals.
Aside from scuba diving, The Dive also features the beauty of Philippine beaches and other water activities like snorkeling, freediving, and skin diving.
The Dive is the brainchild of Wish 107.5 mobile radio bus creator, Daniel Razon, who is also a professional scuba diver on top of being a multi-awarded television and radio personality.
The show is hosted by Miss Scuba International 2015 and Miss Scuba Philippines National director, Cindy Madduma.
As the threats to our oceans get more adverse, The Dive’s new offerings this season strengthens its aim to raise awareness and create a widespread impact on environmental conservation and protection.
As American marine biologist Sylvia Earle said, “With every drop of water you drink, every breath you take, you’re connected to the sea. No matter where on Earth you live.” So diver or not, join us in #MakingWavesBeneath.
The Dive airs on UNTV every Sunday starting December 1 at 11:00 a.m.
