Interior Secretary Mar Roxas asks the public to drop all speculations about the Two Serendra condo blast.

This request comes amid a terror alert for Zamboanga Peninsula issued by the United States and as authorities have yet to determine the actual cause of the explosion that left three people dead.

Roxas said authorities need to ensure that a "corrective measure" will be in place so the incident won't happen again.

"Any speculation is counter-productive. Walang makakapagsabi kung ano talaga ito hanggang matapos ang BFP, PNP SOCO, Engineer's office," Roxas said.

However, what he is sure of was the blast was strong.

"Malinaw na malakas na pagsabog ito," said Roxas. He noted that the tenant, a foreigner, of the condo where the explosion originated is being treated for burns.

Roxas noted that the other tenants of the building have been told to evacuate.

"Some of them will be staying in hotel, kamag-anak nila. Hindi dahil may alam tayong immediate danger," Roxas clarified.

He noted the road leading to Market Market! will remain closed as investigations are still ongoing.

In a separate interview, Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano also urged the public not to make any speculations. She said the city government of Taguig will head the crisis committee.
