DOH to continue promoting minimum health standards

THE Department of Health (DOH) will conduct education and information drives to inform people when to take off their face masks in public places to avoid a surge in coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday, September 12, 2022, issued Executive Order (EO) 3, making face masks optional outdoors, particularly in areas that are well-ventilated and not crowded nationwide.

DOH-Central Visayas Director Jaime Bernadas said on Thursday, September 15, that although the health department respects and supports the President’s EO, the agency will continue to promote minimum health standards amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. (HIC)
