WITH the second tranche of the cash assistance for displaced formal sector workers set to commence, the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020, called on qualified workers to file applications online.

In a statement, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III urged formal sector workers to immediately apply for the Covid-19 Adjustment Measures Program (Camp) online.

“Dole has developed the online system to streamline, simplify and digitize the submission of applications of the affected workers,” said Bello.

He said the online application system can be accessed at https://reports.dole.gov.ph.

Applicants are then required to select the specific transaction in the “Apply for Camp Financial Assistance” section by choosing any of the following choices: Apply as Establishment; Apply as DOT (Department of Tourism)-Accredited Establishment; and Displaced and Temporarily Laid-off Workers.

If applying as an establishment, the Dole said the client must have an Establishment Reporting System account or must register first to continue the application. If applying as a laid-off worker, the client will simply fill in the data needed.

“When the client has applied for Camp, he/she can now track the progress of their application,” Bello said.

Apart from streamlining the process of Camp application, the labor chief said the online system aims to reduce physical contact amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

“It’s designed to ensure the safety of the public and Dole employees as recommended by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases and the Department of Health,” said Bello.

Camp is a one-time financial support of P5,000 to Covid-19-affected workers in private establishments.

The Dole earlier said that Camp has been allocated P5 billion by the Bayanihan to Recover as One or “Bayanihan 2” Law and is set to benefit 993,432 formal sector workers. (HDT / SunStar Philippines)
