Driver collides with ambulance after ‘passing out’

A driver coming from Cebu City collided with an ambulance after he allegedly fell asleep along Campo 5 in Barangay Manipis, Talisay City past 5 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022.

Patrolman Earl Danford Ignacio, traffic investigator of Talisay City Police Station, said in an interview with SunStar Cebu that Harold Sequiño, 26, a resident of Sitio Lahing-lahing, Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City and driver of Toyota Avanza, allegedly passed out on his way to Toledo City when he collided with the ambulance driven by Renante Pamilar, 55, of Barangay Don Andres Soriano, Lutopan upon reaching Campo 5.

Ignacio said the driver of the ambulance gave clearance after noticing the incoming Avanza vehicle going to his direction but he was still hit by Sequiño.

It was learned that the ambulance was going to Cebu City to get a patient.

Pamilar only sustained minor injury.

Both drivers agreed to settle the matter amicably. (BBT, TPT)
