Drone Video Shows Flooding in Connecticut Due to Housatonic River Ice Jam

Ice jams on the Housatonic River were blamed for flooding in Kent, Connecticut, and the closure of State Highway 7 on Saturday, January 13. This drone footage shows a home and the grounds of Kent School flooded as a result of the jam.

The ice jam continued to choke the river on January 15, and was reported to be a mile long, and a state of emergency was declared in the town, State Representative Brian M. Ohler said.
