A MAN from Manila yielded three kilos of illegal drugs worth P20.4 million after his arrest along Sombria Road in Barangay Lawaan 1, Talisay City, Cebu on Saturday evening, June 18, 2022.

Suspect Lyndon Ylanan Rongasan, 34, who hails from Barangay Sta. Ana in Manila had been residing on St. Judge St. in Barangay Hipodromo, Cebu City before he was caught by the Talisay City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) in a drug bust that was coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas.

Talisay police DEU chief Lt. Elwood Ebona said Rongasan had been tagged as a high value individual for the latter can dispose of large amounts of narcotics.

Rongasan yielded two large packs and six smaller packs that the police said contained shabu after he was caught at 10:16 p.m. Also seized from him were the P1,000 marked bills used by the police who posed as the suspect’s buyer, P750 in cash and drug paraphernalia.

Ebona said the drug bust was in relation to Oplan Limpyo Talisay and the regional police programs called Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation and Synchronized Enhanced Managing Police Operations.
