This occurred just a day after DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo announced that they will no longer accept walk-in applicants in the distribution of financial aid for indigent students.

In a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the DSWD Central Visayas announced that its online portal for those availing of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (Aics) had to be closed temporarily after receiving a high volume of applications.

DSWD 7 urged those applying for the aid to wait for any updates as to when they will resume accepting online application.

Earlier on the same day, the DSWD Central Visayas, on its FB page, launch the QR code and link for those who want to avail of the one-time educational assistance.

In the same post, DSWD Central Visayas asked those who applied using the code or link to wait for a response from the agency, either through text or e-mail so that they can be scheduled for assessment and payout. (JKV)
