'Dust Devil' Interrupts Soccer Game in Peru

A dust-filled whirlwind, often called a “dust devil,” interrupted a soccer match in Tambo Grande, Peru, on May 8.

The incident occurred during the final of the local Copa Perú Tambogrande competition between Semillero and San Andrés.

This footage captured during a live broadcast of the game by Piura-based media company Antenna 4 shows the dust devil making its way through the middle of the field, temporarily delaying the game. Credit: Antenna 4 via Storyful
