EAC stuns Olivarez 5

Jun Bautista came through with a tough shot with only 18 ticks left as Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC)-Cavite stunned defending champion Olivarez College, 78-76, in the 21st National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) basketball tournament Wednesday at the EAC Sports and Cultural Center in Paco, Manila.

Bautista’s heroics enabled the Vanguards to register their second win in nine games.

In the other game, Justine Puno completed his steal with only 4.1 seconds to go to help power Philippine School of Business Administration to an 80-77 win over the La Salle-Dasmariñas.

In volleyball, EAC-Cavite leaned on the heroics of rookie Melanie Barcenas to beat Philippine Merchant Marine School, 25-22, 25-17, 25-23.
