CEMEX Holdings Philippines Inc. (CHP) announced Friday, Oct. 29, 2021 that its consolidated net sales increased by eight percent, reaching P16.3 billion, during the first nine months of 2021 versus the comparable period in 2020, due to higher volumes. Sales slightly decreased by two percent year-over-year in the third quarter, amounting to P5.4 billion, due to lower prices. CHP’s domestic cement volumes increased by 11 percent during the first nine months of 2021 versus the same period of last year. For the third quarter, domestic cement volumes increased by one percent year-over-year, as construction activity remained stable despite a return to stricter lockdown measures due to the spread of the Covid-19 Delta variant. CHP’s domestic cement prices during the first nine months of 2021 were four percent lower year-over-year mainly driven by a higher proportion of pick-up sales. (PR)
