Elderly, daughter-in-law killed by minor in robbery attempt

AN elderly and her daughter-in-law were stabbed dead by a minor a little past midnight on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in Purok Bansay-Bansay, Barangay Nailon, Bogo City in northern Cebu.

Those killed were Cerila Abacial Francisco, 62, and her daughter-in-law Mary Ann Latoy Francisco, 39.

Lt. Col. Florendo Fajardo, chief of the Bogo Police Station, said in an interview with Sunstar Cebu that the 15-year-old suspect, whose name is withheld, was caught during a robbery attempt at the house of Francisco prompting him to stab the victims.

The suspect, who is also a relative of the victims, fled after the incident. (GPL, TPT)
