Risa Hontiveros is poised to become the only candidate aligned with the opposition to win a Senate seat, according to CNN Philippines.

According to the unofficial tally released by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Tuesday morning (May 10), Hontiveros ranked 11th with some 15 million votes. Less than 5% of votes are yet to be transmitted.

Elected in 2016, the 56-year-old is the only candidate from the Angat Buhay slate of Vice President Leni Robredo and the Partido Lakas ng Masa slate of activist and labor leader Leody de Guzman set to enter the Senate Magic 12.

As of Tuesday morning, notorious former actor Robin Padilla topped the Magic 12 with more than 25 million votes. Former senator Jinggoy Estrada, who was indicted for plunder and graft, capped off the Top 12 with some 14 million votes.

Coming in 13th is former Vice President Jojo Binay with almost 13 million votes.

The Senate Magic 12 largely comprises candidates of the UniTeam slate of Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, who are both poised for a landslide win.
