Police are appealing for help in tracking down a missing 15-year-old girl who failed to turn up to school earlier this week.

Ellie-Mae Scanlon was last seen at her home on Penhill Drive in the Wiltshire town of Swindon at around 7.30am on Friday.

Officers from Wiltshire Police say the teenager was due to go to school but never showed up.

She is described as white, of slim build with blonde/brown hair.

Ellie-Mae is believed to have been wearing a grey Nike hooded top, coat with fur around the hood, blue jeans and white Air Max trainers when she went missing.

Wiltshire Police released a photo of her in the hope that members of the public will be able to assist in their search.
