27 Nov – Enchong Dee has nothing against fellow Kapamilyas who decide to accept job offers outside of the network, stating that a lot of them needed to do so to earn a living.
As reported on ABS-CBN News, the actor, who was asked about the issue during a virtual conference of Sun Life Philippine, stated that nobody should take away from these artistes the opportunity to work elsewhere as they are - more often than not - breadwinners of their families.
"I can't make your loyalty a measurement just because of what's happening now," he added.
As for himself, Dee stated that he was very fortunate and blessed to be able to invest his money early when he entered showbiz more than ten years ago.
"So now, with all these things happening, I am not too worried about where I will get the payment for electricity, water, rent, things like that. Because I invested my money properly. So, now, the decision, 'Okay, will I move or not?' Because, again, show business is only a certain part of who I am," he said.
It is noted that stars like Ria Atayde, Piolo Pascual, Ian Veneracion, and Maja Salvador have recently started working with TV5, while Bea Alonzo was recently revealed to have left Star Magic.
This has all happened months after the back-to-back crises that befell ABS-CBN - from the pandemic causing productions to delay its projects, to the denial of its franchise by the Duterte Administration that had since cost a lot of its employees' jobs.
