Environmental bureau turns over equipment to Bohol LGUs

THE Environmental Management Bureau in Central Visayas (EMB 7) turned over various equipment worth P1 million to each of the 26 local government units (LGUs) in Bohol province on Wednesday, June 20, 2022.

The equipment will be used in the Solid Waste Management programs of the beneficiary LGUs, namely, Alicia, Balilihan, Batuan, Bien Unido, Bilar, Calape, Catigbian, Clarin, Cortes, Dagohoy, Dauis, Dimiao, Garcia-Hernandez, Trinidad, Lila, Loay, Loboc, Mabini, Maribojoc, Pilar, Sagbayan, San Isidro, San Miguel, Sevilla, Sierra Bullones and Sikatuna.

EMB Regional Director Maribel Munsayac personally handed the equipment to Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado in a ceremony in Tagbilaran City.

"In the pursuit of the Environmental Management Bureau to provide comprehensive assistance to our LGUs, we have turned over 26 equipment worth a million each. The said equipment will help our LGUs to manage their waste well," according to EMB 7 in a statement.

Engr. Cindylyn Cabrera-Pepito, EMB 7 information officer, said 35 LGUs have been targeted to receive the equipment, nine of which are in the provinces of Negros Oriental, Siquijor and Cebu. (PAC, TPT)
