Fans on social media got excited over a possible Eraserheads reunion following OPM icon's Ely Buendia visit to Vice President Leni Robredo's office on Thursday (November 11).

Buendia gave the vice president a limited edition of Eraserheads 25th Anniversary Album on vinyl. And Robredo took to Facebook to express her gratitude. “Ely Buendia in the house!!,” Robredo wrote on her personal Facebook page.

“Thank you, Ely. Nakita mo kung gaano kadami fans mo sa office namin (Did you see how many fans you have in our office)?” she added in Filipino.

Photos of the Vice President and the musician were also posted online.

Before Robredo officially launched her presidential candidacy, Buendia said that an Eraserheads reunion might happen if the vice president decides to run.

After being asked repeatedly about a possible reunion in a virtual Q&A last September, the band’s frontman said that it will happen when Vice President Leni Robredo runs in the 2022 elections.

Meanwhile, Vice President Leni Robredo casually replied with three running emojis in a Facebook post.

While Buendia clarified later that the reunion was only a joke, he did admit he supports Robredo’s candidacy.
