Asked what it would take for another Eraserheads reunion, Ely Buendia’s response surprised netizens.
Buendia answered a few questions from Twitter users in a virtual Q&A on Tuesday (September 28).
After being asked repeatedly about a possible reunion, Buendia gave three witty answers.
For his first answer, the band’s frontman said that it will happen when Vice President Leni Robredo runs in the 2022 elections.
Meanwhile, Vice President Leni Robredo casually replied with three running emojis in a Facebook post.
Senator Kiko Pangilinan, president of the Liberal Party, also reacted to Buendia's tweet.
Kung totoo talaga yan iyan eh baka sa Friday palang naka file na si Ma'am!😜😁😉 pic.twitter.com/xWdBdwsUUn

Answering the same question the second time around, Buendia said that “Jesus must return” before they can be reunited.
Finally, he suggested that IV of Spades, which had a hiatus as a group last year, come together first.

Eraserheads last played together in 2016 for a mini-set that included their song "Maling Akala," as well as "Popmachine" and "Poor Man's Grave."
The band was believed to be reuniting in 2018 for the UAAP men's basketball championship. But Buendia categorically denied any such possibility at the time.
Several months later, perhaps in June 2019, Buendia again denied any reunion was taking place.
