The ‘late’ Ethel Booba

I made a history on my radio show last week for having the longest overtime on-air (mga isang oras lang naman!), and it was because of Ethel Booba (taray, para sa kanya nag-overtime ako! Ayaw ni Willie ng ganyan!). My show is from 8 to 11 a.m. Ethel's call time was 9:30 a.m., but she arrived at 11:30 a.m. (well, may mga ibang artista na mas malala pa diyan. Hahaha!).

At round 10:50 a.m., I already told her coordinator to cancel the guesting but Ethel advised that she was already downstairs. Unfortunately, it took her another 30 minutes to get to my booth (sabi ko nga, baka nasa baba nga siya... baba ng condo niya!). She was very apologetic and said she came from Laguna ('di ko na tinanong ano'ng meron du'n. Roll na!).

I would like to believe it was worth the wait because we really had fun during the radio interview (buti na lang talaga naging masaya or else, sasabihan ko siya ng "You don't do that to me!"). She arrived in her sexy long dress and big shades (as in konti na lang para na siyang star witness, remember Jessica Alfaro? Chos!). We were about to start the interview when she suddenly noticed the radio station's logo and asked: "Teka, kay Willie ba itong istasyon?" I answered: "Ay, hindi! Bakit?" She replied: "Bakit WOW FM? Baka siya rin producer nito!" (kaloka 'di ba?!)

As I welcomed her to my show, my first question was:, "Ano'ng feeling ng late?" She laughed and said, "Naisip ko nga ikaw ito, Mr. Fu, kaya kailangan akong dumating kahit late. Kung iba siguro 'di ako um-appear!" (thank you ha! Hahaha!)

The interview focused on her love life, naughty escapades and new reality show "Boracay Bodies" on TV5. I opted not to talk about her feud with Willie Revillame (takot ko lang!) but his name would figure in some of her jokes (naku, you don't do that to him!).

Ethel said when she's in love, "Binibigay ko ang lahat. Kung ano'ng meron ako, meron siya. 'Pag may kotse ako, meron din siya. Minsan mas maganda pa!" (jowain na si Ethel, dali!).

Among her relationships, it was her romance with Alex Crisano that proved most controversial. "Kaloka nga 'yun, dinalaw ako noon sa set ng 'Wowowillie,' natunugan siguro na malaki kinikita ko!" the sexy comedienne revealed.

I named a lot of guys linked to her and she spilled the beans on her escapades with them. I even revived the controversial "Bulong" segment that we had on "Paparazzi" (remember my controversial bulong to Ruffa Gutierrez? Oops!!!) but I'm sorry, I cannot share what we talked about with you here. (SPG po ang kailangan: Striktong Patnubay at Gabay!)

I just noticed that she just kept on mentioning the name of model Brent Javier, who happens to be her co-actor on "Boracay Bodies." So, I asked her if they are already playing sweet music together. She just said, "Wala pa naman. Basta okay siya sa'kin..." (pa-young star ang lola niyo!)

Ethel is tagged as the "Diva" on "Boracay Bodies" but is she one in real life? "Ano kasi ako, sinasabi ko 'pag 'di ko feel, 'pag may ayaw ako. At wala akong pakialam sa kanila basta gagawin ko gusto ko," Ethel said. (Basta ang alam ko, ang diva, kadalasan late talaga dumarating. Hahaha!)
