When off-roading in most places (except for the desert, probably) you’re going to need your windshield wipers. It’s all a little more than what your wipers put up with on a daily basis with rain, salt and snow, and that’s why BF Goodrich just announced a windshield wiper designed specifically for off-road driving. It’s called the BF Goodrich Off-Road wiper blade, an apt name for a very specific product.
The European Union's executive body proposed Monday that the bloc's 27 nations impose more travel restrictions to counter the worrying spread of new coronavirus variants but make sure to keep goods and workers moving across EU borders. Amid concerns related to the production and delivery of COVID-19 vaccines, the European commission urged EU nations to reinforce testing and quarantine measures for travelers as virus mutations that are more transmissible threaten to overwhelm European hospitals with new cases. More than 400,000 EU citizens have already died from the virus since the pandemic first hit Europe last year.

Dominion Voting Systems filed a defamation lawsuit on Monday against Donald Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, who led the former president's efforts to spread baseless claims about the 2020 election. The lawsuit seeks more than $1.3 billion in damages for the voting machine company, a target for conservatives who made up wild claims about the company, blaming it for Trump's loss and alleging without evidence that its systems were easily manipulated. Dominion is one of the nation's top voting machine companies and provided machines for the state of Georgia, the critical battleground that Biden won and which flipped power of the U.S. Senate.

Moderna has detailed some of the steps it's taking to ensure that its vaccine remains effective in the face of emerging strains of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that leads to COVID-19. The company is pursuing these measures "out of an abundance of caution," the biotech firm said in a press release, since early studies show that the existing vaccine continues to prove effective against these new strains, albeit with some loss of efficacy specifically with the B.1.351 variant which was first identified in patients in South Africa. Further, Moderna says that in fact, it expects both its forthcoming candidate and its existing booster vaccine should be able to provide additional immunity posting capabilities when used in combination with "all of the leading vaccine candidates" on the market.
There is a lot of uncertainty over the COVID-19 vaccines, said co-chair of the multi-ministry task force Lawrence Wong on Monday (25 January).
Rooftop solar is getting cheaper all the time. The actual costs of solar hardware (the module, or panels, and the inverter that produces electricity) have fallen much more quickly than the system’s “soft costs,” which include the various overhead costs, from legal paperwork to marketing, that installers pass on to customers. The first reason for the price gap is the complexity of solar financing contracts.
