Family of 4, another Bogo resident test positive for coronavirus

FOUR of five new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in Bogo City belong to one family, said City Government in a Facebook post Saturday, June 27.

The five new cases brought the city's total count to 15.

The City Government said the four members of a family, who hail from Barangay Sto. Niño, were initially isolated even before getting swab tests. The father of the family was a direct contact of a previously reported positive case.

The fifth case is a 57-year-old female residing in Barangay Taytayan. She initially had influenza-like illness.

The City Government further stated that two of the five new cases showed symptoms and have been undergoing treatment. The rest of the patients are asymptomatic.

The City Government encouraged residents to immediately consult doctors should they experience symptoms of Covid-19.

"Atuang ipahinumdom nga importante gyud kaayo nga kun kamo adunay gipamati sa pagpakonsulta gayud dayun arun kamo ma-check. Do voluntary isolation isip pagprotektar sa imohang pamilya," it said.

Residents of the city were also reminded to strictly follow health protocols like properly wearing masks, regular hand washing, and by observing social distancing. (RDR)
