Feeding Program

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PNA) - Some 1,000 pupils, all ''Sendong'' victims, benefited from the recent feeding program initiated by the Kiwanis International (KI) Philippine South District Division 4A held at the Pedro Oloy N. Roa Sr. Elementary School in Calaanan, Canitoan, this city.

The feeding and gift-giving programs in the coordination with the city government here was part of the KI's commitment to serve the children of the world.

With the theme ''The Kiwanis Gift Giving; the Joy of Sharing,'' the activity is also part of the commemoration of typhoon ''Sendong's'' first anniversary.

KI Philippine South District Division 4-A Lt. Governor Rey Susana said the feeding program is a year-round project of the Kiwanis for the children in 80 villages and various elementary schools in this city.

''Addressing the malnutrition as early as during preschool will make a huge change in the performance of a child,'' said Susana.
