FILINVEST City Foundation recently turned over a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) machine complete with desktop and uninterruptible power supply device to Perpetual Succour Hospital of Cebu.
The turnover was led by Archie Igot, Filinvest assistant vice president and Vismin product head.
Present during the activity were Sr. Gaudelia Baluyot, director of clinical services of Perpetual Succour Hospital; Dr. Pureza Oñate, medical director, and Secretary Michael Lloyd Dino, Office of the Presidential Assistant for Visayas.
The PCR donation came in very timely as Cebu City is experiencing a spike in the coronavirus disease 2019 cases over the past few days.
“We hope that with this donation, Perpetual Succour Hospital of Cebu will be able to process more tests to prevent the further spread of the disease,” Igot said.
