Filinvest, R-II Builders, Robinsons Land eye Taguig property — BCDA

Developers R-II Builders Inc., Filinvest Land Inc.,

and Robinsons Land Corp. are keen on bidding for a 5.2-hectare property in Taguig City

being offered by the state-run Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).

In a statement Monday, BCDA president Arnel Paciano Casanova noted the developers already bought the Terms of Reference for the development and long-term lease of Pamayanang Diego Silang

Commercial Lots in Usuan, Taguig.

"The location of the property has a captured market and ideal for a commercial complex that would cater to the needs of the residents living within the area," Casanova said.

The property lies in the immediate vicinity of residential developments Acacia Estates, Grace Residences, Rosewood Pointe, Royal Palm Residences, Cypress Towers, and Pamayanang Diego Silang.

Depending on the final deal between BCDA and the winning bidder, the property may be leased for 25 years and renewable for another 25 years.

Asset Disposition Program Committee chair Nena Radoc noted the winner must make lease payments equivalent to P93 million which covers the first three years and includes the 12 percent value-added tax (VAT) upon signing the contract.

The deadline of filing the final proposals is on September 26, according to BCDA. — VS, GMA News
