Diaz will be making her fourth straight appearance in the quadrennial meet, the first of which was the 2008 Beijing Olympics, making her the most experienced athlete of the Philippines at the Summer Games.
In the build-up to the Tokyo Games, she set a personal record of 130kg in the clean-and-jerk while training in Malaysia.
The 30-year-old has no shortage of medal hauls over the years, copping a total of 13 built on three golds, five silvers and five bronze medals.
