Five men were rescued by helicopter after floodwaters in north Queensland swept their vehicle off the road and left them stranded in Bogie.
ABC reported the mother of one of the men called police at 8 am to say her son had contacted her advising there was water rising around his vehicle. The five friends had been on a hunting trip in the remote region.
An RACQ CQ Rescue helicopter was sent to search for the men; they were found in good health when they were extracted at 3 pm, but had been forced to leave their dogs behind, according to a CQ Rescue spokesperson.
