PANGASINAN, Philippines – A total of 13 towns are currently submerged in floodwaters in the province of Pangasinan following days of non-stop rains.
Residents endure a high level of flood water in the towns of Bani; Mangatarem; Alaminos City; Urdaneta City; Calasiao; Sta. Barbara; Labrador; Mabini; Lingayen; Bugallon; Malasiqui; Agno; and Natividad.
Among these areas, seven towns remain impassable to motor vehicles namely Alaminos; Bani; Agno; Sta Barbara; Mabini; Calasiao; and Manaoag.
The local government already ordered preemptive evacuation to affected residents.
Meanwhile, landslides were recorded in the town of Sual.
Some rivers are now threatening to burst their banks as water level hits the critical mark.
These include the Marusay River in Calasiao; Balingcaguing River in Bani; and Sinocalan River in Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan. – UNTV News and Rescue
