Pugh's relationship with Braff was the subject of much tabloid speculation since they began dating in 2019.

She did previously address the age difference in an interview last year saying: "I'm 24 and I can't choose who I love … There's a reason why I'm not with someone my age—It hasn't worked. So who are you trying to match me up with?"

Pugh and Braff originally met on the set of In the Time It Takes to Get There, a short film directed by the Garden State star.

Pugh is also set to star in Braff's upcoming directorial effort A Good Person alongside Morgan Freeman and Molly Shannon.
