Former Lapu-Lapu City Jail warden now BJMP 7 director

THE Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Central Visayas (BJMP 7) welcomed its new director, Jail Chief Superintendent Neil Avisado.

Avisado replaced Jail Chief Superintendent Efren Nemeño, who was appointed director of the BJMP National Capital Region, on Thursday, November 3, 2022.

Avisado, who was the director of the BJMP Northern Mindanao, is not new to the region.

Before becoming a 1-star brigadier general, he had a stint as a warden of the Lapu-Lapu City Jail and the Tagbilaran City Jail in Bohol.

He also served as a warden of the Second Chance Community Rehabilitation Center when the facility was still under the BJMP.

Avisado, a native of Surigao, belongs to the Philippine National Police Academy Patnubay Class of 1995.
