Former warden of Lapu-Lapu jail now BJMP 7 director

THE Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) 7 welcomed its new director, JCSupt. Neil Avisado.

Avisado replaced JCSupt. Efren Nemeño, who was appointed as director of the BJMP National Capital Region, on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022.

Avisado, who was the director of the BJMP Northern Mindanao, is not new to the region.

Before becoming a 1-star brigadier general, he had a stint as a warden of the Lapu-Lapu City Jail and the Tagbilaran City Jail in Bohol.

He also served as a warden of the Second Chance Community Rehabilitation Center when the facility was still under the BJMP.

Avisado, a native of Surigao, belongs to the Philippine National Police Academy Patnubay Class of 1995.

BJMP 7 Assistant Director JSupt. Reynante Rubio said the Bureau can expect more projects and developments under the new leadership. (BBT / PJB)
