WAS self-confessed drug lord Franz Sabalones really dead? The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) think otherwise.
Thessa Tiuzen, PDEA 7 deputy director, told reporters that until now, they have yet to find evidence that Sabalones was really killed last April 18 this year.
On that date, Sabalones reportedly came from a billiard house along Timog Avenue in Quezon City when an unidentified assailant gunned him down.
Tiuzen said since that time, they have yet to receive a death certificate to prove that Sabalones was indeed killed.
For now, PDEA is still monitoring if Sabalones' illegal operations may have been revived.
Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Crime Laboratory is set to dispose more than 30 kilos of suspected shabu at the APO Cement Plant in the City of Naga next month.
Police Col. Roderick Pausal, PNP Crime Lab 7 director, said the suspected shabu set to be disposed are evidence from court cases that were already decided or whose accused was already deceased.(AYB/JKV)
