This year, May 4 is not just Star Wars Day — it’s also Free Comic Book Day and like always, Fully Booked is all in on the fun.
As the event’s name suggests, the local bookstore chain will give away comic books for free to anyone who visits any of their branches in Metro Manila. Stores in Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao won’t be participating but they will sell graphic novels at discounted rates.
It will be on a first come, first served basis so those interested in copping one should be there before the giveaway begins. It starts once the store opens, which will vary from 9am to 11am.
Queues tend to be really long, as seen in this photo from last year’s Free Comic Book Day.
Customers can pick any title from a group of comic books selected especially for the day. Those in the Bonifacio High Street branch can get up to three free comic books while all other branches will giveaway one comic book per person.
They don’t need to buy anything to avail of the free comic book but serious fanboys and fangirls can also avail of a 20 percent discount on select graphic novels on that day.
