Fully vaxxed Balamban seniors to get chance to win P100,000

BALAMBAN is pulling out all the stops to persuade its senior citizens to get vaccinated against coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

On Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, Mayor Alex Binghay announced that fully vaccinated senior citizens of the western Cebu town would have a chance to win P100,000, P50,000 and P30,000 in a yearend major raffle draw this December.

The raffle draw serves as a reward for those who have already been vaccinated, as well as an incentive for those still sitting on the fence on vaccination to get the jab.

Aside from the yearend major raffle draw, there would also be a minor raffle draw at the end of November where fully vaccinated senior citizens would get the chance to win P3,000 (third prize), P5,000 (second prize), and P10,000 (first prize).

Binghay explained to the senior citizen chapter leaders of the town’s 28 barangays Friday, that their being vulnerable to Sars-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, underscored the need for their ranks to secure protection against it.

He sought their help to convince their fellow senior citizens to get the jab.

For better access to Covid-19 vaccination by the elderly in mountain barangays, Rural Health Center personnel would go to these barangays to conduct the vaccination there, the local government said on its Facebook page. (CTL)
