GERRYPENS Promotions signed two teenage prospects, brothers Criztian Pitt and Criz Russu Laurenete, to a long-term deal. Gerrypens Promotions head honcho Gerry Peñalosa signed the siblings because he saw something special in them.
“They are future stars,” Peñalosa, a two-division world champion, told SunStar Cebu.
Criztian Pitt, the older brother, is 19 years old. He has a record of 3-0 with three knockouts.
Criztian Pitt made his pro debut in 2019 and stopped Rey John Indita in a single round. He followed it up with knockout wins over Rogelio Boyles and Christian Gabayeron.
As an amateur, Criztian Pitt fought in the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships and won a bronze medal. He also fought in the Asian Junior Boxing Championships, Children of Asia International Games and the Asian Youth Boxing Championships.
Meanwhile, Criz Russu is 18 years and turned pro in the same event. He knocked out Regie Diagan in a single round. He is 1-0 with a knockout.
Criztian Pitt is scheduled to return to action on Dec. 14 against what should be his stiffest test, grizzled veteran Albert Alcoy. (EKA)
