The Barangay Ginebra Kings and the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters aim for wins that will get them back on the winning track when they duke it out against one another in the PBA Philippine Cup on Tuesday, October 27, at the AUF Sports Arena in Pampanga.

Tip-off is at 6:45 p.m. after the curtain-raising match between the Alaska Aces and the still-winless TerraFirma Dyip at 4 p.m.

The Kings are coming off a 102-92 loss to the Magnolia Hotshots which dropped them to 4-1 this season. Head coach Tim Cone has admitted that a top four finish in the elimination round is a priority so as to have a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals.

However, the road does not get any easier from hereon end as Ginebra battles the Elasto Painters followed by games against the league-leading TNT and the defending champions San Miguel Beermen.

On the other side of the fence, Rain or Shine is seeking redemption after losing to Alaska last Thursday. The Elasto Painters was supposed to play last Sunday but had its game versus Blackwater postponed in light of the news that one of the Elite players tested positive for Covid-19.

The Blackwater player tested negative following confirmatory antigen and RT-PCR tests later Sunday. (JNP)
