Gloria Diaz Says Daughter Isabelle Not A Boyfriend-Stealer

MANILA, Philippines - Isabelle Daza is the latest leading lady being romantically linked to her leading man, Dingdong Dantes.

While Dantes, who is very much involved with Marian Rivera, already dismissed the issue, the latter's mother, former beauty queen Gloria Diaz, is confident that her daughter ''is not the type to get somebody else's boyfriend. Hindi siya 'yung tipong ganun eh, nang-aagaw.''

But should ''war'' erupt between Isabelle and Marian, Diaz thinks her daughter is prepared well enough.

''Alam mo, kaya ni Belle 'yan. Belle is a basketball player. She's a soccer player,'' Diaz was quoted as saying in a TV interview.

In the past, Marian had fought other actresses like Rhian Ramos, Bela Padilla, and Heart Evangelista, who either worked or intended to work on projects with Dingdong.

Diaz downplayed the alleged blossoming romance between Dantes and her daughter. She maintained that the two ''only met once during the pictorials and everything,'' pertaining to the endorsement they've worked on in April.

''I haven't seen any flowers at home or chocolates... So baka hindi totoo,'' she added. Daza is reportedly in a relationship with French football player and brand executive Adrien Semblat.

What worries Diaz, however, is the fact that her daughter is ''very sensitive.''

''Huwag lang sana siya awayin ng kung sinu-sino diyan. Kasi hindi niya kaya 'yan, mababa ang luha ni Belle eh, baka mapaiyak... Kasi she's really like that. She's very sensitive, and she's not the type. Hindi siya sanay sa bakbakan,'' she stressed.
