GMA Network, Comelec renew partnership for 'Precinct Finder'

Filipinos may now access the Commission on Election's Precinct Finder through GMA News Online for the barangay elections on October 28.

On Wednesday, GMA Network chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon and Comelec chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr. signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) to launch "Find Your Precinct" on GMA News Online.

The project allows voters to verify their registration, precinct location, and precinct number.

The Philippine Long Distance Company (PLDT), which is included in the partnership, will provide “congestion free connectivity” via I-Gate, the company’s premium internet gateway service.

“Thank you (GMA) for helping us again. As far as today, kayo lang ang (media) partner namin (sa project) na ito,” Brillantes said after the MOA signing.

For his part, Gozon said: “We are always ready to help Comelec because we believe that the election is the bedrock of democracy.”

GMA Network and Comelec had previously partnered to launch a similar project for the May 13 elections. — Rouchelle Dinglasan/KBK, GMA News
