Gogglebox star Andy Michael has died at the age of 61.
The TV star - who appeared on the very first episode of the reality show eight years ago - passed away last weekend after a short illness.
The Channel 4 show shared a statement on Twitter which said: "We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Gogglebox star Andy Michael at the age of 61 following a short illness.
“Andy passed away last weekend with his family by his side.
“Retired hotelier Andy, who brought much wit and insight to Gogglebox, was one of the show’s original cast members, appearing in the very first episode in 2013.
We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Gogglebox star Andy Michael at the age of 61 following a short illness.

“Beloved father to Katy, Alex, Pascal and Louis, and cherished husband of Carolyne, Andy was a much-loved and respected member of the Gogglebox family, and he will be very sadly missed.
“Our love and thoughts are with Carolyne and the entire family."
"The family have asked for privacy at this very sad time," the statement said.
The sad news comes just days after fellow Gogglebox star Mary Cook died at 92.
Fans took to Twitter to express their sadness.
"Such awful news!" one person tweeted. "Andy was such a character and a great member of Gogglebox! Loved watching him and his family."
"So awful, had to read twice as really shocked, sending lots of love to his family," said another.
One posted: "Two great stars of the show in the space of a week, incredibly sad.
"Rest in peace, Andy."
Michael joined the show in 2013 but took a break in 2015 when he stood as the UKIP candidate for Hastings and Rye at the general election. He was defeated and the family returned to Gogglebox for more episodes.
