TORONTO (AP) _ Golden Star Resources Ltd. (GSS) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $6.5 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
On a per-share basis, the Toronto-based company said it had net income of 6 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to account for discontinued operations, were 11 cents per share.
The gold mining company posted revenue of $68.8 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $18.3 million, or 47 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $272.5 million.
In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company's shares hit $3.58. A year ago, they were trading at $2.90.
