Grab to host a GrabCar Cebu Operator Sign Up event at Ayala Center Cebu on June 10, 2022

CAR owners who want to earn extra by utilizing their vehicles to chauffeur passengers in Cebu can now sign up as a GrabCar operator. To facilitate this, the company will host a GrabCar Cebu Operator Sign Up event at the Ayala Center Cebu Active Zone on June 10, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Interested operators can potentially earn up to P30,000 or more in just a month. They may opt to personally drive the unit or have an accredited driver use the car registered to Grab.

Other benefits of being a Grab operator include being able to decide when, where, and how often to drive. Online and offline training sessions are also provided in order to get the operator onboard and utilize the app. Grab also provides 24/7 in-app support.

To be eligible as a GrabCar operator, the basic requirements include having a vehicle model from 2020 or later with comprehensive insurance, a sales invoice, and a TIN I.D., among others. Other requirements will be discussed at the event on Friday.

Beyond the event on June 10, interested applicants may visit the Grab Office located at Maxwell Hotel along Escario Street, Cebu City. Starting June 14, they can also visit Grab’s new office located at the Pioneer House Cebu along Cardinal Rosales Avenue in Cebu Business Park.

GrabCar Cebu head Norman Jay Go expressed that it is an opportune time to be with Grab as local and foreign tourists have been steadily increasing as travel restrictions in this time of pandemic starts to ease.

The GrabCar app also provides features to ensure the safety of their rides such as providing the driver’s name, license plate number, and photo so passengers know who’s picking them up ahead of time. GrabCar drivers go through a rigorous screening process and safety training for their own benefit aside from the passengers’.

Aside from security, hailing a GrabCar also provides passengers the opportunity to travel with safety and comfort despite the risks associated with travelling during the pandemic.

Go added that Grab remains true to its commitment in making transportation readily available by offering alternatives to existing transport services. It also serves as a platform for car owners to earn more while helping the commuting public.
