Investing in jewelry is one the most beautiful and personal journeys one could embark on. Ever since its existence, the appeal for jewelry has never dwindled and continues to be in high demand. They are worn as statement pieces or cherished as priceless heirloom pieces that will soon be passed from one generation to the next.

In purchasing the pieces, there is so much thought and love that goes into acquiring them depending on personal taste or connection.

Homegrown brand Oro China Jewelry understands this connection and has for more than half a century—it celebrated its 55th anniversary with a grand fashion show on Aug. 26 at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

The anniversary event showcased a triumvirate of elegance which marked the company’s milestone: Cebu’s beauty queens wearing the works of the city’s most celebrated fashion designers, adorned with the latest of Oro China’s best pieces.

The featured designers were Cary Santiago, Philip Rodriguez, Protacio, Jun Escario, Philip Tampus, Hanz Coquilla, Mike Yapching and Rei Escario.

The beauty queens that graced the event were Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Bea Luigi Gomez (Rodriguez), Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados (Santiago),

Miss Universe Philippines Cebu City 2022 Chantal Schmidt (Protacio), Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Perez (Tampus), Binibining Pilipinas International 2022 Nicole Borromeo (Yapching), Binibining Cebu 2018 Steffi Rose Pearson Aberasturi (Escario), Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell (Escario) and Miss International 2014 2nd runner-up Kris Janson (Coquilla).

The beautiful show presented a variety of styles and themes ranging from the age of empires and the glamour of old Hollywood up to the fiery allure of Spain and the cool green tones of emerald.

“With over 50 years of experience in the industry, Oro China Jewelry continues to provide its discerning jewelry lover friends and clients with one of a kind, high quality, and timeless jewelry pieces that are beyond a single generation,” stated the brand on its website.

Oro China Group of Companies’ chief operating officer Jennifer Ty and brand ambassador Chesca Garcia-Kramer greeted the hundreds of Cebuanos who were present, while celebrating remarkable Filipino craftsmanship and the brand’s timeless designs which will adorn jewelry lovers of future generations.
