Gullas takes leave, Bucao acting mayor for 5 days

VICE Mayor Alan Bucao will sit as the acting mayor of Talisay City, Cebu from June 9 to 13, 2022.

Talisay City Mayor Gerald "Samsam" Gullas on Wednesday, June 8, said he will be taking a leave of absence to rest and to be with his family.

“I have signed a memorandum designating VM Alan as mayor while I am gone,” Gullas said.

“Rhea and I will be leaving the country for a quick vacation after the grueling campaign,” he added.

The mayor will return to office on Tuesday, June 14.

Gullas was declared winner as a reelectionist for mayor during the 2022 local elections, while his wife Rhea, unopposed, won a seat in Congress as First District representative. (ANV/JGS)
