What happens in Guadalupe on Sundays
BARANGAY officials of Guadalupe extended the "Sunday lockdown" until further notice after Covid-19 cases in the barangay continue to rise.
Guadalupe Barangay Captain Michael Gacasan ordered an extension of the "Sunday lockdown" under further notice.
ESTABLISHMENTS ALLOWED TO OPERATE:
Pharmacies
Delivery-only food establishments
Authorized persons outside residence and those with essential purposes are allowed to go out.
Public transportations for Authortized Persons Outside Residence (Apor)
All forms of delivery services
Other establishments not mentioned above will be closed to the public. The lockdown will also give establishments time to disinfect their premises.
OTHER REMINDERS:
No loitering/roaming around Guadalupe
Residents may only leave for work and emergency reasons only
Non-resident Apors are allowed to leave and enter on a work basis
For essential businesses that want to operate on a Sunday through deliveries, the owner can submit a request letter together with other documents proving that it has that option to the barangay hall so barangay officials can assess it.

The barangay also designated M. Velez as the only entry point adn R. Duterte and V. Rama are the exit points .
WHY LOCKDOWN WAS EXTENDED
Data from the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) showed that from January 9 to 22, Guadalupe recorded the most number of Covid-19 cases in the city at 50.
On January 24, 2021, Barangay Guadalupe strictly implemented a curfew, stay-at-home order, and "Sunday lockdown" to stop the further transmission of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the said barangay. The "Sunday lockdown" was good for two weeks.
However, data released by the EOC from Jan. 26 to Feb. 8 showed that Guadalupe continued to record the most number of Covid-19 cases at 167 in 14 days.
