THE light to moderate with occasional heavy rains affecting Cebu (Camotes Island and Central Cebu), Bohol, and Negros Oriental may continue for two to three hours and may affect nearby areas, said the state weather bureau.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa)-Mactan said in its Rainfall Advisory 8, which was issued 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, that the prevailing weather system in Central Visayas is a low pressure area spotted at 65 kilometers east northeast of Virac, Catanduanes.

The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to monitor the weather condition and watch for the next advisory, said Pagasa. (WBS)
