‘Heneral Tuna’ teaches Filipino values through an alien cat general

After the success of “Trese”, here’s another exciting cartoon to look forward to — meet Heneral Tuna.

The teaser for the first episode just dropped days ahead of its October 15 premiere.

“Heneral Tuna” centers on an an alien cat general from Planet Mingming, who crashes on Earth and uses his time to learn more about his hosts for invasion. While staying with a Filipino household, however, he ends up learning about family and Filipino values.

The animated mini-series is produced by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) with Rocketsheep Studios, the indie animation outfit behind films “Saving Sally” and the Netflix film “Hayop Ka!”.

The series was commissioned by NCCA as part of its Filipino Values program.
