SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt feels Kermit Erasmus has matured and is starting to deliver on his potential.
The nuggety striker, who scored seven goals this past term, netted in Matsatsantsa's 2-0 Nedbank Cup final win over Mamelodi Sundowns at the weekend.
Erasmus was once regarded one of Africa's brightest talents but a failed stint at Feyenoord (2008-10) has dampened expectations.
Hunt, however, says the 21-year-old is showing potential again.
"Kermit....Wow, what can I say about Kermit? He went to Europe too early in my opinion," Hunt told the official PSL website.
"I don't think he was prepared for a lonely life there.
"I think he is now maturing as a player, he understands his role in the team."
